Coco Mooloolaba Accommodation, Dolphins and Whales

July 3rd, 2010

We were lucky enough to recently stay at Coco Mooloolaba and enjoy Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast.  There is so much to do and enjoy about this place……no wonder everyone wants to live here.  The weather was stunning (for winter) the people are friendly and the lifestyle is relaxed……….and the wildlife!!!

After breakfasting at our now favourite cafe, Sugar and Spice on the Esplanade we wandered over to the beach to sit and soak up the sun and to our delight a pod of dolphins not more than 50 metres off the beach started ‘performing’.  We enjoyed watching their acrobatics as they played before us.  People gathered on the beach and the oohs and aahs from the crowd was infectious.  Great to see such amazing animals in their natural environment doing what they love to do.

It was the following day after a walk along Mooloolaba beach that we heard people yelling WHALE, WHALE and there they were, a pod of them frolicking in the waters just out past the nets. People gathered to stand and watch and enjoy the spectacle that was unfolding. Not sure why they were so close to shore, may have been birthing, feeding or just resting in the calm, warmer waters, whatever we were truly lucky to see these amazing animals.  Mooloolaba truly put on a show to remember!

You may not be so lucky to see dolphins and whales at play, but you will be lucky to enjoy great Mooloolaba hotel accommodation at Coco Mooloolaba. A great place to stay whilst visiting Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast.

Perfect Getaway – Coco Mooloolaba Accommodation

May 28th, 2010

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights at the start of May and after reading many of the reviews already on trip advisor had a great idea of what to expect. I was not disappointed. My review will echo many of the others on here already. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was exactly as shown in the photos on the website (except layout) The apartment was spotless and contained everything needed, including plenty of cooking utensils. I stayed on level two and did not book the hotel for any views but was lucky to get an apartment with two balconies, one that faced the back of the complex and had a view of the pool with the other balcony facing the street. I was expecting to hear lots of noises but found I didn’t. The garbage truck came on my first morning at approx 6am and was indeed loud but it lasted 10 minutes and I did not hear it again for the rest of my trip. The lifts do make a dinging noise to announce their arrival but I only heard this when at the lift and never from my apartment. As for the loud noises coming from cars, yes they were loud but they were so loud I would not be suprised if every single apartment at any other hotel along the esplande would have heard them and cannot blame Coco for this problem. Apartments are apparently serviced after the 8th night of stay but I was lucky to get my apartment serviced halfway during my stay without requesting it so found I was lucky to have fresh sheets and towels for most of my stay. The pool was warm for the time of year I went and the spa was the perfect temperature (The spa bubbles last for approx 15 minutes not just a couple like someone else wrote and I have found from staying at many hotels that 15 mins is normal). We used the free bbq approx 4 times during the stay. It was perfectly clean and we never had to wait for someone else to finish using it. All the materials and utensils are provided to cook and clean it afterwards and I found that terrific.
Overall for the price I paid for my stay (which to me was a bargain for what I got) I think Coco is a fantastic place to stay and would highly recommend it to everyone wanting to holiday in Mooloolaba.

For your perfect getaway, stay in great Mooloolaba accommodation at Coco Mooloolaba apartments.

Back Next Year – Coco Mooloolaba Hotel

May 28th, 2010

After many trips to Mooloolaba having booked some less than appealing accomodation on the net, COCO was exactly the same as the images on the webb site. Good location close to supermarket. Our room had ocean views and was also child friendly. Friendly management always makes the stay more enjoyable. COCO offered great value for the family trip.

For a Mooloolaba hotel that exceedes your expectation and keeps you coming back each year look no further than Coco Mooloolaba.

Great Place to Stay – Coco Mooloolaba Resort

May 26th, 2010

This is a great place to stay in Mooloolaba, one street back from the esplanade. There are limited views even from the ocean view apartments (we were on the 5th floor) but it was fine.
Apartments are only a few years old and it was spotless on our arrival. We arrived earlier than scheduled check -in time but they were more than happy to accommodate us.
Not a huge 2 bedroom apartment (in fact, 2nd bedroom is really quite small) but both bedrooms had ensuites. Large Plasma TV in lounge area & smaller TV in main bedroom.
Good balcony size with large table & 6 matching chairs. All the fixtures and fittings were excellent with european appliances in the kitchen.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who responded to our requests without question and very helpful regarding local amenities etc (unlike some places).
Pool & spa is very clean at all times and the shade in the afternoon over the pool is a bonus on hot summer days. Very clean bbq area too. Underground car parking with secure access which also applies to the building itself. Good to know that people cannot access all floors of the building and the building is secure at night as well.
Would really recommend this place as one of the better places we have stayed at in Mooloolaba and we have visited the area many times in the past 20 years.

For your next Mooloolaba holiday visit Coco Mooloolaba Resort and have a great time.

Thoroughly Recommend – Coco Mooloolaba Hotel

May 26th, 2010

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our recent stay, the apartment was exactly as described and help information from the staff was excellent. The small pool and BBQ facilities were a great extra, and the children loved having the oportunity to use some body boards that the reception let us borrow.

The apartments are only a few minutes walk from the beach and were quiet.

Only problem we had was that we didn’t stay long enough – it was the best part of our trip and we would return without hesitation.

Act on this great recommendation and visit Coco Mooloolaba for great Mooloolaba hotel accommodation.
